SGC, couloir

Bra’tac : bonjour, mon ami.

Teal’c : maitre Bra’tac, ça faisait longtemps.

Bra’tac : trop longtemps.

Bra’tac : alors, restez.

Teal’c : Kal Ket Mal, SHOL'VA !

Teal’c : Ket Tal Shree, SHOL'VA!

Bra’tac : rappelle-toi ! Rappelle-toi Teal’c !

Teal’c : la période était glorieuse.

Bra’tac : on a combattu côte à côte pendant des années.

Teal’c : dans les batailles.

Bra’tac : en son nom.

Teal’c : mon seigneur Apophis.

FB

Bra’tac : seigneur Apophis, vos ennemis sont vaincus. Vous avez triomphé.

Apophis : SHAL’MET BRA'TAC ! Lève-toi. Tu t’es bien comporté, tu as le droit à ma gratitude.

Bra’tac : She KREE, Teal’c!

Ton père a eu peur.

Teal’c : mon père n’avait peur de rien, seigneur.

SGC, infirmerie

Tu étais tellement faible quand on t’a emmené ici !

SGC, infirmerie

Jack : Va’lar, c’est ce qu’il a dit ?

Daniel : j’ai cru comprendre velours !

Jack : velours ?

Daniel : velours !

Jack : quoi, comme le tissu ?

Daniel : c’est ce qu’il m’a semblé !

Jack : mais pourquoi il aurait dit ça ?

Daniel : je ne sais pas ! Pourquoi dirait-il Va’lar ?

Jack : je n’en sais rien, moi !

Teal’c : Va’lar était mon ami.

Daniel : quoi ?

Jack : Teal’c ?

Teal’c : O’Neill ?

Teal’c : on recommence, alors !

Bra’tac : tu es mort suffisamment aujourd’hui. On remettra ça demain matin.

Drey’auc : tu as pourtant vu la puissance d’Apophis !

Daniel, allez, suivez-moi. Ensuite, il faudra qu’on soit tous présents.

Sam : à vos ordres. Salut Teal’c !

Sam : oh, seigneur !

Teal’c : dépêche-toi ! Apophis veut me voir.

Teal’c : Sha Kree, Va’lar.

Teal’c : oui, mon seigneur.

Teal’c : oui, mon seigneur.

Teal’c : jaffas ! Ket Shal Kree ! SHOL'VA !

Teal’c : on verra.

Teal’c : on verra, j’ai dit. Vas !

Teal’c : c’est fait !

Apophis : tu es un guerrier prometteur.

SGC, salle d’observation

Teal’c : oui.

Teal’c : tek ma tek, maitre Bra’tac !tek ma tek

SGC, infirmerie

Bra’tac : tu dois choisir maintenant, Teal’c. CHOISIS !

FB

Teal’c : Jaffa ! Kree Lo Mel ... GOA'ULD !

SGC, infirmerie

Bra’tac : choisis de redevenir le guerrier qu’on a connu. Renonce à Apophis et reviens vers nous !

Janet : c’est maintenant ou jamais.

Bra’tac : choisis ! À vous de jouer !

Janet : dépêchons-nous.

FB

Apophis : tuez-les tous !

SGC, infirmerie

Janet : le symbiote est à l’intérieur.

Infirmière : ça ne change rien.

Janet : on a dû attendre trop longtemps. Chargez à 200.

Infirmière : chargé

Janet : dégagez ! Pas de pouls. Montez à 360 et préparez-moi 5 cc d’épi…

Infirmière : chargé !

Janet : dégagez !

FB

Jack : euh… ouais ça me suffit. Vous pouvez lui enlever les sangles.

Hammond : merci, docteur. Bien joué.

Janet :  de rien, général. Je suis contente que ça ai marché.

Sam : salut Teal’c.

Teal’c : major carter. Daniel Jackson. Tek ma tek !

Bra’tac : mon ami.

Scripter's note: Remember Kids, When a snake-head talks, whether it's a Goa'Uld or a Tok'Ra, I put them in CAPS! I'm NOT yelling at you! ;) It's just the , as Jack calls it, Boom Box sounding voice! ;)) Once again, movements or actions appear like (This) , and my personal comments appear like <>. :)

OK! Here's the guide of abreviations I will use from now on:

J is JAck
S is Sam
D is Danny
T is Teal'C
GH is General Hammond
DF is Doctor Frasier

OK! That's the cast! Here's the guest

Sam:
A is Apophis
MB is Master Bratac
DM is Doctor Mackenzie.
D'A is Drey'Ac, Teal'C wife.
V is Va'Lar, Teal'C's friend.

CHRISTOPHER JUDGE VOICEOVER: <<Doesn't he have a great voice??>> Previously ... On Stargate SG-1 ... A shot of T getting shot in the back from Exodus is shown.

T is sitting in a room with his eyes closed. He opens them as J, GH, and D. M. walks in.

TEAL'C: (Cheerfully, and smiling) It is good to see you, O'Neill.

JACK: You too.

TEAL'C: You appear to be well.

JACK: Well, forget appearances. The back's gone, the knee's shot ... forget curling. <<LOL!>> You?

TEAL'C: I am well again.

JACK: (Looks at GH and D.M.) So I hear. (D M. Smiles) (To T) Welcome back.

TEAL'C: (Standing and STILL Smiling) I once again pledge to you my allegience. And ask your forgiveness for sucomming to the will of Apophis.

JACK: Well, he did sorta have you over a barrel. You being dead and all.

TEAL'C: It was thru the power of the sar-cop-a-GUS that I was forced to regain belief that Apophis was my GOD.

JACK: Sar-coph-a-gi will do that.

TEAL'C: (STILL Smiling, looks at the DM) Doctor Mackenzie has convinced me otherwise. D.M. : You convinced yourself, Teal'C. All I did was shine a light on something you already knew.

JACK: (As T bows) You know ... j ... just for fun(T looks up) ... I'd love to hear ya say it out loud.

TEAL'C: (STILL Smiling!!) That Apophis is a false GOD? That the Goa'Uld are nothing more than parasites?

<< I haven't seen him smile this much in a whole episode muchless in the first minute and a half! ;)>>

JACK: Yeah, that stuff.

TEAL'C: I hope to one day restore your trust in me, O'Neill. (J smiles, and cocks his head) And to one day return to your service GeneralHammond.

JACK: (To D.M.) What do you think? (D. M. grins away) (Looks back at T, who returns his smile) After you. (They both smile)

BRA'TAC: (As T turns the corner) Hello, Old Friend.

TEAL'C: (Holding MB's hand, STILL Smiling!) Master Bra'Tac, it's been too long.

BRA'TAC: So it has. Your friends of Earth took great pains in bringing you here.

MB Smiles as he shakes T's hand, looking into his eyes. T's once dancing, smiling eyes suddenly turn cold. <>

BRA'TAC: He is decieving you.

T runs past MB, and tackles a couple airmen, until he meets up with S and D in the hall, S with a ZAT

SAM: Teal'C. (T runs back down the other corridor to be met with MB and the other humans)

TEAL'C: SHOL'VA! (To MB., who ZATs him) (T. grunts and falls to the ground)

JACK: (As MB reaches in the pouch, and grabs "Junior".) Whoa! ("Junior" squeaks) What are you doin'?

BRA'TAC: If Teal'C won't hear the truth in words, he must learn it in other ways. (Holds up "Junior") This ... is the only way left to us. ("Junior" squeaks) OPENING CREDITS!

HAMMOND: MAster Bra'Tac, before we proceed ...

BRA'TAC: We waste time!

HAMMOND: Please explain to me what it is you hope to achieve by depriving Teal'C of his symbiote?

BRA'TAC: I hope to save him.

DANIEL: By killing him?

BRA'TAC: If necessary.

JACK: See? I think we disagree on the meaning of the word SAVE.

BRA'TAC: You would have him remain this way? Loving a false god, spitting and cursing?

JACK: (After thinking a few seconds) No.

SAM: There may be other methods we haven't consitered.

BRA'TAC: I have seen your methods. You underestimate the hold Apophis has on Teal'C's heart. In time you will have little choice but to lock him away ... for he is FAR too dangerous an enemy to have in your midsts.

J looks away from the Jaffa, down on his hands, then to G H, who looks pissed.

BRA'TAC: The Rite of Mal Sharran is the only way.

DANIEL: Last Rite? (J, who was looking at D, looks back at MB)

BRA'TAC: To save Teal'C's soul ... first we must take him to the very threshold of death. (J glances around the table, his eyes settling on S) On Chulack, (S looks at J with a cold, emotionless expression, then glances up at MB) it is said that when a warrior is dying, the events that forge him wash over his mind like a great wave.

DANIEL: His whole life passes before his eyes ... we have a simular ... (Closes his eyes as he takes a VERY deep breath) uh ... what does that ... get us?

BRA'TAC: Thru his fever and hallusinations, he will relive his true past ... buried beneath this lie.

JACK: You've done this before?

BRA'TAC: (Serious expression just for J) Twice ... (J mouths "Twice" as he nods his head, looking around, stopping on S) in my hundred and thirty seven years.

SAM: So you know it works?

BRA'TAC: (Looking at S) Neither Jaffa had the strength to turn back from the presidence.

D has an "Oh, my God!" looks as he glances toward J

BRA'TAC: But I am content they died free. (J's eyes move from D, next to D to S, then up to MB, a disbelieving look the entire time) Teal'C would ask for nothing more. I owe him that. (A few seconds later) Do you?

Shot goes to S, who was looking up at MB, then diverts her eyes to the table infront of her. Shot then goes to D, who was also looking at MB, diverts his eyes to the table briefly, then toward J. Next, it's GH's reaction. He just looks at J, who diverts his eyes from the two (S&D) infront of him, briefly down to the table, then looks up at MB ) <>

Shot fades to infermary. "Junior" is in a container of liquid with the electrical charge going to him. <> DF is talking to a nurse, and writing on a clipboard. She walks over to check on T, and checks the monitors. The heart monitor is heard. There's candles all around the room providing the light.

MB and the remaining members of SG1 walk in

FRAISER: He's in and out of consciousness. His temperature is rising, his BP <> is falling. Teal'C's immune system is failing ... if we don't return his symbiote within the next few hours ...

BRA'TAC: (Interrupting, very sternly) Do NOTHING!

FRAISER: (Tearfully) I can't do that.

JACK: Bra'Tac made his case ... Hammond gave the go ahead.

FRAISER: (Pointed, pissed off look) I see. (Leaving) Then I will take this up with him.

BRA'TAC: (Blocking her path) Do you count yourself as one of Teal'C's friends?

FRAISER: Of course.

BRA'TAC: Then stay. (Puts his hand on her shoulder) When the time comes, he may need your help to find his way back to us.

She looks over to the bed, and nods. MB Walks to T's bedside, DF's on the other side Close to T's face

BRA'TAC: Can you hear me, old friend?

TEAL'C: (Opening his eyes, looks at MB, with hate in his voice) Kal Ket Mal, SHOL'VA!

BRA'TAC: And where is your god now, Teal'C?

TEAL'C: He will come.

JACK: I don't think so, buddy. I know we've been over this a few times, but in case you weren't listening ... I am 100% ... s ...sure ... (Glances over to D & S, D scratches his head as S smiles @ D) ... 99% sure Apophis is dead.

T speaks with pride

<<*Gasp* is he smiling again?! ;)>>

TEAL'C: He is decieving you O'Neill ... as I have decieved you all these YEARS claiming to be in the service of the Tau'Ri.

JACK: Right.

TEAL'C: I have NEVER left the service of my Lord, Apophis ... and I never WILL!

JACK: So all that time you were helping us out, saving the world, killing Goa'Ulds ...

TEAL'C: Subterfuge.

JACK: Savvy.

TEAL'C: You can take my life, but you can never take away my loyalty to my GOD! (Whispers) I die in his name. (Yelling) I DIE FOR YOU, MY LORD!!!!!

BRA'TAC: (Grabbing T's face in his hands, turning him toward him) Enough! You know me, Teal'C.

TEAL'C: You are the SHOL'VA Bra'Tac!

BRA'TAC: There was a time I was once the first prime and loyal servant of your LORD, Apophis. You were my apprintence.

TEAL'C: Ket Tal Shree, SHOL'VA!

BRA'TAC: (Whispers) Remember.

MB squeezes T cheek hard

BRA'TAC: (Yelling) REMEMBER, TEAL'C!

FLASHBACK! (FB from now on) T, MB, and a couple other Jaffa are marching down a corridor. END FLASHBACK. (EFB from now on)

TEAL'C: We was warriors.

BRA'TAC: For years we fought side by side ...

TEAL'C: In battle ...

BRA'TAC: In his name.

TEAL'C: My Lord Apophis.

FB

MB and T with the other Jaffa kneel before Apophis.

BRA'TAC: My Lord Apophis ... your enemy is defeated. You have won the day.

APOPHIS: SHAL'MET BRA'TAC. (Holds up his hand in gesture) RISE.

The Jaffa obey and stand at attention A. walks toward MB, and put his hand on his shoulder

APOPHIS: YOU HAVE DONE WELL, I OWE ALL MY GRATITUDE.

<< He's wearing silver instead of gold of the first season ;)>>

BRA'TAC: You do me honor. (Bows) In displaying great skill and cunning, these three have most honored your name in battle.

APOPHIS: (Walking up to T) TELL ME OF THIS ONE.

Close up of T ... he doesn't have the gold emblem ... it's black

BRA'TAC: His name is Teal'C, My Lord. My apprintence ... and with your blessing, my sucessor.

T raises his eyes, then quickly lowers them

APOPHIS: WHO IS YOUR FATHER?

T hesitates.

BRA'TAC: He is the son of ...

A holds up his hand, stopping MB

APOPHIS: LET HIM SPEAK ... IF HE IS TO TAKE YOUR PLACE AS MY FIRST PRIME ONE DAY, I MUST KNOW HE HAS A TONGUE.

TEAL'C: (Still looking down) My father was Ro'Lock. First prime of Chronus who was murdered for failing to win an unwinable battle. My family was exiled to Chulack.

APOPHIS: HE FAILED HIS GOD?

TEAL'C: (Looking up, and around, appears to think) He did not. (Quickly looks back down)

A looks back to MB, A's mouth open in surprise.

BRA'TAC: She KREE, Teal'C!

TEAL'C: MyLord, I speak only of the truth ... the battle could not be won.

APOPHIS: (Glowing eyes) YOUR FATHER SHOULD HAVE DIED TRYING!

T looks up into A's eyes

APOPHIS: HE WAS A COWARD!

TEAL'C: MyLord, my father was not.

A puts the ribbon device to T's head

TEAL'C: (Screaming) AAAHHHHHH!!!!!

EFB

T's in the bed screaming. He gasps for breath. He closed his eyes, exhausted.

DANIEL: Uh ... What was that?

S looks worried

BRA'TAC: A conjured memory. The first of many.

FRAISER: He's obviously in a lot of pain ... at least let me give him ...

BRA'TAC: (Interrupting) Pain is what we seek.

DF Looks at him like he's crazy

BRA'TAC: Teal'C's path was laid down with suffering.

Shot goes to T breathing hard.

BRA'TAC: It is the path he must take to return to us.

FRAISER: At the moment, he's unconsious.

BRA'TAC: All the better.

JACK: All the BETTER?!

BRA'TAC: It is his unconsious mind we must reach.

DF gives him another look

BRA'TAC: I know my ways are foreign to you, but I have known Teal'C longer than any of you have lived. I have walked his path. You can not hope to understand the darkness in his heart as I do. (Looks at all humans) Trust in me. All of you.

SAM: (Nearly crying) We do.

DANIEL: What ever you need. (Smiles)

BRA'TAC: (Appearing very tired) For the moment, I must meditate in Kel'No'Reem. This rite will take most of the night, and I am tired from my long journey here. In the meantime, stay with him.

J is shown looking around

BRA'TAC: Speak to him.

FRAISER: He won't be able to hear us unless ...

BRA'TAC: Perhaps not in his mind ... but in his heart. Even in silence, he will know of your presence. But your WORDS will force him to remember. Challange him when he does. Question his beliefs. Without his symbiote, he will not resist reasoning so redily.

JACK: Carter? Maybe you can show Bra'Tac to the VIP room?

SAM: Yes, Sir. (Looks at D, who smiles.)

S and MB walk out, in the hall

SAM: I hope you understand how difficult it is for us to just stand by while Teal'C is in such obvious agony. Especially Doctor Fraisier.

BRA'TAC: Humans concern themselves too much with pain.

SAM: Yes, and we also don't approve of torture.

BRA'TAC: The greater torture would be to leave him as he is. Teal'C is strong ... stronger than I.

SAM: Oh, I don't know ... you're the fittest 137 year old I know. (Smiles)

BRA'TAC: (Laughs) Perhaps, but I am nearing the end of my time. Kel'No'Reem is getting more and more difficult. (Stops walking, and faces S.) The symbiote I carry will mature within 2 years ... it will be my last.

<<No! :( >>

SAM: (Disbelieving) Why?

BRA'TAC: (Smiles) Even if I could procure another, the new symbiote would reject me. It is how old warriors die.

SAM: Well, maybe we can find some way to help you , I mean ...

BRA'TAC: Life for the sake of life means nothing ... neither for me or Teal'C.

Sam realizes his meaning, and bows her head

BRA'TAC: Do you understand?

SAM: (Somberly) I think I do.

BRA'TAC: Either he will return to us as we know him ... or he will not return.

Back in infermary

JACK: (to D) You wanna go first?

DANIEL: Sure.

Clears his throat, and goes get a chair to sit on

<<He! He! They look like they're at a wake viewing a body! LOL!>>

A 20 second silence

JACK: (Looks at a silent D) I'll go first.

DANIEL: (Rather quickly) Yeah! (He gets up, J takes his seat)

JACK: So, explain this to me one more time. (D gets another chair, and sits next to J) You honestly believe that from the moment you took us out of that prison on Chulack, that you've been serving Apophis? Because I gotta tell ya, as your best friend, at least in this ... whole wide world ... that makes absolutely NO sence at all. I mean, that would make you THE <> MOST ineffective double-agent in the history of double-agentry!

TEAL'C: (Sleepily) Va'Lar. <>

JACK: What?

TEAL'C: (Louder and clearer) Va'Lar!

FB

Jaffa sleeping quarters.

TEAL'C: Va'Lar.

VA'LAR: Teal'C?

T's laying on the bed, V walks up to him

VA'LAR: Are you all right?

TEAL'C: I MET him! I SPOKE to him!

VA'LAR: << A very nice looking white guy, BTW ;) >> With Apophis himself? YOu were granted an audience?!

TEAL'C: (Whispering) As a reward for my deeds in battle.

VA'LAR: I don't understand. How did he reward you?! When they brought you here, you were so weak!

TEAL'C: (Raising his head) He PUNISHED me!

VA'LAR: Then you must have failed him in some way.

TEAL'C: This day, I struck down most of Apophis's enemies.

VA'LAR: You fought well, Teal'C ... I won't deny that. But he is a GOD. And if you fail him, by spearing even one enemy's life that was yours for the taking, he will know.

TEAL'C: This was not for the battle. What GOD punishes a son because of his father?

VA'LAR: (Still whispering) YOUR god.

TEAL'C: Yes, but ...

VA'LAR: (Louder) NEVER question that again!

JAFFA: (Off screen) QUIET!

VA'LAR: (Back to whispering) Today you served Apophis well in battle ... if you serve him well again tomorrow, then you will live to see another day. (Leaves)

EFB

JACK: Va'Lar <>... IS that what he said?

DANIEL: I thought he said Velour. <>

JACK: Velour?

DANIEL: (Interrupting) Velour. <>

JACK: The fabrics?

DANIEL: That's what I heard him say.

JACK: Why would he say that?

DANIEL: I don't know, why would he say Va'Lar? <>

JACK: (Sarcastically) I don't know!

TEAL'C: Va'Lar was my friend.

JACK: Teal'C!

At the same time as J said Teal'C

DANIEL: What?

TEAL'C: O'Neill? (Tries to sit up, but realizes he's shackled, then lays back down) What is happening? Why am I restrained?

JACK: Well, you were ... sort of ... trying to KILL everybody these past few weeks.

TEAL'C: I could never have harmed you. The Rite of Mal Sharren has been sucessful. Please release me.

JACK: Uh ... nice try , but ... no!

TEAL'C:(quietly) I am not your enemy. We are brothers, Daniel Jackson, I ...

DANIEL: Teal'C ... tell us about Va'Lar.

TEAL'C: I have not heard that name in many years. I trained with him under Bra'Tac. We served in the Personal Guard of Apophis ... (Looking at them) If you do not return my Symbiote to me, I will die.

DANIEL: What happened to him?

A moment of silence

TEAL'C: (Pointily) He failed his GOD!

JACK: HIS god? You mean that ... scum-suckin', over-dressed, boom-box voiced snake in the head, latest on our long list of DEAD ... bad guys?

<<MWAHAHAHAHHAAAA!>>

FRAISER: (As Teal'C gasps) Colonel, his heart rate just doubled!

<< A GREAT, yummy, droolworthy shot of T's flexing muscles is shown ;-P>>

TEAL'C: (As T struggles to get from the restraints.) HAL SHAK!

JACK: That I understood. (To D, who nods)

TEAL'C: Do You THINK I don't know what you're doing to me?

DANIEL: We hope you do.

TEAL'C: (Angrilly) No Jaffa can survive the Rite of Mal Sharran!

DF Walks in

TEAL'C: You are allowing Bra'Tac to kill me! (Screaming toward the door) Where is he?! SHOL'VA!!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!

FRAISER: (To tech) BP is crashing! Let's start an IV!

TEAL'C: Where are you, SHOL'VA?!?!?!?!?! ARE YOU AFRAID TO FACE ME?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

FB

T is blindfolded, in the snow ... SHIRTLESS!!!!! << oh, my! ;)>>

TEAL'C: Where are you? Where are you? Kel'Mack!

<>

A staff weapon activates, and lightly taps his back

TEAL'C: AHH! (He falls down to his knees)

BRA'TAC: Were I truly your enemy, you would be dead.

TEAL'C: (Turns toward MB) This is pointless, I am not blind!

BRA'TAC: (Having moved to T's back, unknown to T) In battle ...

T turns back around

BRA'TAC: You must use all your sences.

TEAL'C: Once again?

BRA'TAC: You have died enough for one day ... we will begin again in the morning.

TEAL'C: (Takes of blindfold) Without this!

BRA'TAC: (Who was walking away, turns to face T) Do you believe you can defeat the First Prime of Apophis in a challange?

TEAL'C: (Holding out his arms, showing MB his <<GREAT!>> Body) I am the stronger.

MB throws T a staff, and they both bow. MB KICKS HIS ASS in about 10 seconds!

BRA'TAC: (With his staff to a prone Teal'C's head) Shall I fire ... and stop this waste of time? Or will you learn?

TEAL'C: I was not prepared.

<>

BRA'TAC: There are no second chances in battle. You have ears to hear, and eyes to see, yet YOU WILL NOT LEARN! Shall I put us both out of our misery?

Activates staff

T looks scared

BRA'TAC: The choice is mine. Who can stop me? (Looks up) Apophis?

TEAL'C: Yes.

BRA'TAC: So you believe our Lord Apophis is all seeing? All powerful?

TEAL'C: He is a GOD!

BRA'TAC: Is he? In battle, Teal'C ... faith will not save you. Blind faith least of all. (He helps T sit up) Rely on your own strength. And your own wits ... or you are of no use to me.

He stands up, and walks away

EFB

DANIEL: (As monitor with T's head is shown) I ... I think what Jack is trying to say is you are very ... an extremely logical person, and therefore you assersion that you never left the service of Apophis is so ... completely ... illogical almost to the point of making absolutely NO POINT what so EVER!

TEAL'C: Do you not know the meaning of faith, Daniel Jackson?

DANIEL: I think I do.

TEAL'C: Then you should know that my faith in Apophis is real beyond question.

DANIEL: Still, if you remember me, and you remember ... Jack, then you must remember at some point questioning your faith.

TEAL'C: NEVER! Apophis is a god.

DANIEL: False god. (Raised eyebrow, slight glance at J) DEAD ... false ...god.

<>

TEAL'C: (Glances at D) Your words can not change the truth.

DANIEL: Well, they're not MY words, Teal'C ... they're YOURS.

T looks at D

DANIEL: (Sarcastically) Of course, you were WRONG at the time because he wasn't (Glances @ J) ... (Deep breath) actually dead, but that wasn't ...

TEAL'C: (Interupting) LIES! (Breathing hard)

DANIEL: The point is, there was a time in your life when you realized the Goa'Uld can't all be gods.

T looks like he's getting pissed, and trying to ignore D, to no avail, he's getting irritated.

DANIEL: Every symbiote a Jaffa carries will eventually take a human host if given the chance and become a Goa'Uld. HOW can they ALL be gods?!

TEAL'C: Do not test my temper, WOMAN!

FB

Drey'Ac is standing , while he's sitting at the table in back of her. She's fittling with her hands nervously.

DREY'AC : I know you honor Bra'Tac!

TEAL'C: (VERY ANGRY!!!) I SAID DO NOT (Bangs his fist on the table, she jumps) TEST MY TEMPER!!!!

<< I think I like her, she has fire.>>

She turns to face him, walks toward him.

<>

DREY'AC: But you have NO CHOICE but to tell Apophis of his betrayel!

TEAL'C: (Sighs) Bra'Tac is my master.

DREY'AC: (Wearing a <> long haired wig) Apophis is your GOD.

TEAL'C: (Looks up at her) If I am ever to be First Prime of Apophis, I must first honor Bra'Tac.

DREY'AC: You have seen the power of Apophis.

T looks at the table

DREY'AC: You have seen his chariots rise from the ground ... Walk thru the wall of water of the Chapp'ai.

TEAL'C: As I have done!

DREY'AC: (Holding up her hand in front of his face) Explain how a wall of light

T's shaking his head as if to say "Here we go again".

DREY'AC: can leave his palm, and (Motioning throwing) throw a warrior across this room if he is not a god!

TEAL'C: (Angrily, yelling, she jumps) WE CAN NOT!

He stands, and walks away from her, turns back to face her.

<< I guess he need to cool down>>

TEAL'C: Yet neither have I seen a warrior greater than Bra'Tac.

DREY'AC: Then you are the servant of 2 masters.

TEAL'C: What am I to do, Drey'Ac?

Walking over to him, rubs up his <> arm to his face, which she turns toward her.

DANIEL: Come to bed.

<>

She kisses him, passionatelly

EFB

DANIEL: Woman?!? Did ... did he just call me a ... a ... a WOMAN?!

Sam's seen walking in

JACK: Yes, I believe he did.

SAM: He's still unconsious?

DANIEL: (Long sigh) In and out ... obviously delerious.

S walks over to DF

SAM: How's "Junior" doing?

FRAISER: Well, the symbiote is fine for now, although I don't know what we're gonna do with it if they let Teal'C die. But ... that won't be my problem ... I'll have already resigned if they let it go that far.

SAM: Janet ... I know how you feel.

FRAISER: I'm a doctor, Sam. This goes against every part of me to just ... stand by and do nothing.

SAM: I don't think that we're doing nothing.

FRAISER: (Nods head) Yeah.

SAM: So, is it working? Has he said anything?

JACK: He talked about fabric briefly.

DANIEL: He just called me a WOMAN.

S looks At D

JACK: So I think it's working.

DANIEL: (He and J share a look) Yeah, something's happening.

SAM: Well, it looks like we're in for the whole night. We should ... probrably take turns sitting with him.

JACK: Yeah, all right ... I'll come back in a couple of hours ... Daniel, you go after me ... then I think we'll all wanna be here.

J gets up, and walks out, followed by D

SAM: (Taking D's seat, and pulling it closer to the Jaffa.) Hey, Teal'C. Look, I don't know how good I'm gonna be at this, but, um ... I guess the important thing is to be here for you.

TEAL'C: (Opening his eyes, and looking at her) MajorCarter ...

She sighs a deep breath with a beautiful smile

TEAL'C: How can you allow them to do this to me?

SAM: Teal'C ...

TEAL'C: I have no wish to die, MajorCarter. You and Doctor Frasier can just save me.

SAM: You're not gonna die.

TEAL'C: I am being murdered as we speak.

SAM: We're helping you.

TEAL'C: Help me escape. (Breathing hard, and looking in her eyes) (Pleading) Please.

SAM: Oh, God (Looks away ) ... Teal'C ... We want you to remember.

<>

TEAL'C: Do you believe in a GOD, Major Carter?

SAM: This isn't about me.

TEAL'C: How would it be if you were punished for loving you God as I love mine?

SAM: It's not the same.

TEAL'C: (Tearfully??) I can not help what I believe.

SAM: You believe in freedome, Teal'C. You believe in justice, in protecting people from false gods. You dispise everything Apophis was.

TEAL'C: He failed his god. He ... failed ... his ... god ...

SAM: Teal'C?

FB

VA'LAR: Teal'C?

TEAL'C: (Walking) Why have you returned from the planet?

VA'LAR: I need to speak with you.

TEAL'C: Speak now, Apophis is on the way.

VA'LAR: Alone ... please. (Goes behind a wall) The battle did not go well. RA's warriors were in far greater numbers than we believed.

TEAL'C: You were given a battalion.

VA'LAR: RA sent his gliders down upon us, we were flanked, bombarded from the sky, there was no choice but to retreat.

TEAL'C: Sha Kree, Va'Lar.

VA'LAR: It was the only way to save our men.

TEAL'C: And yourself.

VA'LAR: NO! I intend to return , and with greater numbers, I will drive RA's forces from their foothold. Please. Tell him I am no coward, and if given the chance, I will then prevail, I swear it.

TEAL'C: Go to the sleeping quarters ... and wait for me there.

VA'LAR: Teal'C, it would have profited no one nearly to fight and die.

TEAL'C: You may have to wish you had.

As MB and T enter A's chambers. A is looking out at a planet

BRA'TAC: (Kneeling) My Lord, we are at your service.

APOPHIS: WHO DID YOU ENTRUST WITH THIS CAMPAIGN?

BRA'TAC: Va'Lar of Chulack, My Lord. A promicing warrior.

APOPHIS: YET HE RETURNS IN DISGRACE.

MB lowers his head

TEAL'C: Perhaps not in disgrace, MyLord. But as part of a cunning strategy.

A turns to face them

TEAL'C: To withdraw, then to return with greater numbers to crush an overconfident enemy. Va'Lar himself would like to lead the second wave.

APOPHIS: DOES HE?

BRA'TAC: My Lord, Allow me to ...

A holds his hand up

APOPHIS: YOU WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME IN HIS PLACE, TEAL'C?

TEAL'C: (Glances up, then down) No, MyLord.

APOPHIS: YOU WOULD HAVE HELD YOUR GROUND IN THE NAME OF YOUR GOD?

TEAL'C: (Whispers) Yes, MyLord.

MB looks up

APOPHIS: THEN RETURN WITH HIM (Turns toward the view of the planet) TO HIS PLACE OF SHAME ... AND KILL HIM.

TEAL'C: Yes, MyLord.

T and MB stand, T walks out, MB just stares at A

T is shown going to the sleeping quarters. His eyes meet V's.

T is shown leading a shackled V infront of the Serpant Guards. He's being pretty ruff with his friend. They stop at the rings

TEAL'C: JAFFA!

He's walking around V

Ket Shal Kree! (To V) SHOL'VA!

He grabs a staff weapon, and shoves his friend inside the rings. The rings consume them, sending them down to the planet.

T walks away from his friend, facing away from him

VA'LAR: You make take solace for what you are about to do, Teal'C. I should have died on this battlefield.

V kneels, T turns his face to look at him.

VA'LAR: Please tell Apophis I died well. Honering his name.

T turns his body toward V, it's obvious the Jaffa was crying. T points the staff at V's neck

TEAL'C: Rise.

V pantsand rises. T puts his staff at his side, pulls out a knife, the fear is evident on V's face. V takes a deep breath in preporation of being stabbed. T cuts the rope around V's hands, V looks surprised

TEAL'C: There is a small village three days walk south of the city ...

V's emotionless now

TEAL'C: You may find shelter. Do not allow yourself to be captured by either side. (He turns to look the other way)

VA'LAR: Teal'C, you can not do this! Even for me! He will KNOW!

TEAL'C: We shall see.

VA'LAR: I'm willing to face my punishment, then to live knowing what Apophis would do to YOU!

T turns his head slowly

VA'LAR: For your sake, you MUST!

TEAL'C: Go now, and never show your face again!

VA'LAR: HE is a god, Teal'C! He will know that you have spared me!

TEAL'C: We shall see. (Turns his head away from V) Go!

V sniffs, takes a VERY deep breath, and hesitated for a few seconds, before begining to run. He turns to look at Teal'C once again, before turning and running down the hill

T, hearing gasping, turns to see a Jaffa dying. He puts his staff against a bolder, and squishing is heard as he reaches in and pulls the Symbiote out of the Jaffa.

He returns to the ship ALONE, and kneels before A

TEAL'C: It is done.

A smiles as he see the snake squeaking weakly

APOPHIS: (Smiling) YOU HAVE PROMICE, TEAL'C! (Turns and walks away)

Teal'C has a look of realization on his face

EFB

S is shown wiping T's sweating face and head. SHe glances to the observation room to see GH, and J arriving.

HAMMOND: You didn't stay long.

JACK: (Sitting down) You should talk. You can go in there, you know.

HAMMOND: I know.

Awkward silence

JACK: General, if Teal'C were here, he'd say you made the right decision.

HAMMOND: If HE were here! (Chuckles)

JACK: He'll be back. (Glances up @ GH)

HAMMOND: If not, Teal'C will be sent to a Hogh Security facility, and place into Solitary confinement ... when the symbiote matures in 4 or 5 years ... (Shakes head) I won't do that to him, Jack.

J looks up at GH, then to T

JACK: No, Sir ... of course not.

FB

As T wakes up in bed with a start. He'd obviously been having a nightmare. He goes and splashes water on his face.

DREY'AC: What is wrong, Teal'C?

TEAL'C: Three days ago, I led a battalion to retake a planet that had been occupied by RA's army. Apophis ordered me to burn a villiage of RA's followers to the ground.

DREY'AC: You DID this?

TEAL'C: Yes.

DREY'AC: Then sleep well in the knowledge that you have served Apophis.

TEAL'C: I can not close my eyes without seeing the faces of innocent women and children who lived there. (<> He's crying) A Jaffa lived there also. A warrior named Va'Lar.

Shaking her head, disbelieving

DREY'AC: No.

TEAL'C: I banashed him to that villiage to save his life, only to take it away for fear that Apophis would learn my secret. I put my own life before that of an entire villiage. Am I diffrent?

DREY'AC: (Getting out of bed) You had no choice.

TEAL'C: I DID have a choice!

She's VERY Pregnant

DREY'AC: Our son will soon be born to us, Teal'C. You must ensure that he has a father. Our son will be born into a real home ... a gift ... from Apophis himself. It is the best life we can hope for.

TEAL'C: (Tearfully) Than why am I so ashamed.

She takes his head and puts it on her chest right above her belly, and he hugs her.

Another time, MB is sparing in the snow, T come running up to him

TEAL'C: Pro Brotea! <<That's what it sounds like>> Master Bra'Tac!

Teal'C is shown with a GOLD tattoo

BRA'TAC: Apophis has made you his First Prime!

TEAL'C: You are not pleased?

BRA'TAC: No! (Turns)

TEAL'C: (Running after the walking MB) There's no greater honour among Jaffa than becoming First Prime to one's GOD!

BRA'TAC: (Stopping and turning) AHH! You know as well as I what the Goa'Uld truly are!

T looks down

BRA'TAC: We pretend, men like you and I, so that we may advance in rank and privlidge. But do not pretend to me now. You know the truth. Can you look me in the face, and say otherwise?

TEAL'C: My entire life you have prepared me for this day ... (Looks at him) Why?

BRA'TAC: I saw the spark of doubt in you ... and the wisdom to keep that doubt unto yourself. I saw you play the game with those who would play GOD.

TEAL'C: If I don't believe in him, how can I serve?

BRA'TAC: Because there is no other choice BUT to serve.

T looks in his eyes

BRA'TAC: The Goa'Uld are powerful. They've seen to it that we can not live without them, and so it may be for all time. But neither can they live without the Jaffa. WE are their TRUE god.

TEAL'C: I do not understand.

BRA'TAC: (Light chuckle) As First Prime, that power will be yours. When Apophis throws his armies into the fire, you will be there to temper his sword. In so doing, you may save COUNTLESS lives as I have done in MY time.

TEAL'C: And you have done all these things against his will?

BRA'TAC: His will can be made to bend ... but not always.

T looks confused

BRA'TAC: I have done deeds for which I can not forgive ... even myself. As will you. Men such as you and I have only the comfort of the times we make a difference.

Puts his hand over T's heart

BRA'TAC: Make a difference.

Walks away

Scene goes to Prison from COTG

TEAL'C: (Pointing to the humans) There. (Said to MB) (J stands up)

BRA'TAC: Those are the humans who came thru the Chapp'ai?

T nods

BRA'TAC: They do not appear to be as formatable as I imagined.

TEAL'C: Their weapons are not of Goa'Uld design.

BRA'TAC: (Laughing) That may be so, Teal'C, but they are only 3.

TEAL'C: They have something more.

T looks at MB

TEAL'C: A Strength ... they know the taste of freedom.

BRA'TAC: (Laughing) You dreams of freedom will be your undoing, Teal'C.

TEAL'C: (Smiling) Perhaps so.

BRA'TAC: Pray they are not chosen as hosts. That is the best thing you can wish for them.

EFB

Heart monitor is slowing

TEAL'C: What have I done?!

Rapid beating ... then flatline tone

FRAISER: He's in V-Fib! Get the cart!

SAM: This is it! (Faces the observation room, where J and D are standing)

JACK: (On phone) Get Bra'Tac down here!

Shot of T is shown while the drs are working on him. Shot goes to MB running down the hallway, then to "Junior" swimming happily in his little tank.

FRAISER: I'm returning the symbiote.

BRA'TAC: Stand aside!

<>

FRAISER: (To MB) If I don't return it immediately ... (Tearfully)

<>

BRA'TAC: (Sternly) STAND aside! Or his suffering will have been for nothing! This is the moment where HE must choose.

HAMMOND: (From observation room, talking into microphone) Stand aside, Doctor Fraiser.

DF gives him a disbelieving look

BRA'TAC: (Leans into him) Choose now, Teal'C. Return to those who love freedom.

J is shown

BRA'TAC: Or DIE in the name of a false god.

S is shown

MB takes T's face in his hands, yelling

BRA'TAC: CHOOSE!

FB

The scene from COTG after they choose Skarra as a host for Klorel

TEAL'C: Jaffa! Kree Lo Mel ... GOA'ULD!

EFB

BRA'TAC: (Still yelling) CHOOSE TO BE THE WARRIOR WE KNOW!!!!!! RENOUNCE APOPHIS ... AND RETURN TO US!!!!!

FRAISER: It's now or never!

MB looks into her crying eyes

BRA'TAC: (Looking back at T) CHOOSE!!!!!

D, J, and GH are shown, all crying

BRA'TAC: Very well.

FRAISER: Let's move.

FB

APOPHIS: KILL THE REST!

People start screaming and running. J is shown

EFB

FRAISER: OK, the symbiote's in ... no change. (Tearfully) We waited too long ... charge to 200.

NURSE: Charging.

FRAISER: Clear! (She jolts him)

FB

T and the Jaffa are stalking the screaming people. Staffs are activated.

EFB

FRAISER: (J is shown) No pulse. Make it 360 give me 5 of epi ... charging. Clear!

FB

JACK: I can save these people!

T turns and activates his staff

JACK: Help me! (Quieter, seeing the doubt in T's eyes) Help me.

TEAL'C: (Coldly) MANY have said that!

Looks in J's eyes, and turns to shoot Jaffa in back of him. Throwing the staff to J

TEAL'C: But you are the FIRST I believe can do it!

Monterage of Teal scenes including scenes from Bane, 1969, and various other shots of him in Jaffa mode in quick sucession

<> ;)

TEAL'C: (Opening his eyes) I choose freedom.

<>

BRA'TAC: The Rite has succeded. He has returned to us.

T has a gentle look in his eyes, not hte coldness of when MB noticed he was lying

JACK: Uh ... just ... out of curiosity ... How do you feel about ...?

TEAL'C: Apophis is a false god ... (looks at D, I think) A DEAD false god.

Everyone is shown smiling with tears in their eyes

JACK: Good? (Looks @ MB)

<< I guess to see if MB saw deception>>

JACK: That's good enough for me. Get him out of those restraints.

HAMMOND: Thank you doctor. Well done.

FRAISER: Yes, Sir. I'm glad it worked out, too.

SAM: (Smiling) Hey, Teal'C.

TEAL'C: MajorCarter ...

Looks up to D

TEAL'C: Daniel Jackson ...

Looks at, then Locks arms with MB

TEAL'C: Kal Mate ...

BRA'TAC: My friend.

TEAL'C: (Still looking at MB) GeneralHammond! I once again pledge my alligence to you and the people of this world ... and I request permission to rejoin SG1.

HAMMOND: (Looks at J) Permission granted!
